Hairy!!!

Let's just say I have a lot of hair.  Have you ever lost something in your hair? Last week I had an incident that reminded me of a time that I had a weak moment and needed to take the edge off with a Big n Nasty (oops..tasty) fries and a DIET Coke.  I order my snack, get my money ready (including some coins) pull up to the first window to pay, reach up to put my lovely tresses behind my ear and voila...my money is gone! What the?? As the cashier watched in horror, money starts falling from my scalp. I had to reach in and grab a couple pennies to complete my transaction.

Last week as I was checking out at my local grocery store, I lost an earring...oh wait, no I didn't it was tucked away in my hair as I discovered after several minutes of having the box boy and checker help me search the store. Oh never mind, sorry here it is in my lovely locks.

I was at the chiropracter laying flat on the table...face down and the doc tells me  "turn your head to the right"....again he says.."turn your head to the right"....(no coughing)...I finally said "I AM". He called out...somebody get this girl a scrunchie!!

HERES TO GIRLS WITH BIG HAIR!!!!!

The Tail of a Mouse (yes, tail not tale)

Last week I said goodbye to my sweet little mouse. A beautiful gray kitty with a big bushy tail. Mouse would take long walks with me, cuddle with me, nurse on my blankie (much to Stuarts dismay) and keep me from being a lonely farmers wife on these hot summer nights.

Mouse had been gone several days but being the UN-neutered male he was, I assumed he was just out doing "his thing" with the ladies. It had happened before, but after a few days there was still no sign of him. I began searching for him on my walks.  Looking up and down the hay fields beside our house. Soon the hay was cut and I had a clearer view. Still no sign.  While working in my office one day with the window open...I smelled a odd but familiar scent.  Then one morning while walking very close to our house..the dogs started rolling in the hay (ha ha).  I knew it....mouse..right there in the row of hay. Not alive...very peaceful. I am pretty sure he dared that swather to come any closer. Well, I said my goodbyes to sweet mouse and left him buried under the hay. Several days later..the hay was baled and then a few days after that I waved goodbye to the bale of hay that I was sure was carrying a little gray mouse cat. Little mouse was off to travel the world (OK..western Idaho) on a truck full of hay..wind in his fur. I was at peace with our goodbye.

But that is not the end of this story...   While out mowing my lawn I came upon a large flat fuzzy gray object.  It appeared to have legs and some other misc. bones. Could it be? Yes, mouse had come home. A much flatter, quieter version of him. There will be no resting in peace Mouse, as the dogs are having a great time playing with you. I think they like you better now.
